I captured this image of Director Damiane Didit, in the Swartland next to a carrot farm in the evening after a shoot. I was privileged to have had the opportunity to assist on the crew and witness his magic: his calm, humble and caring nature is very similar to that of a big teddy bear. Damien is a huge creative role model to me and that is why I have included him in my Salt Of the Earth collection. this image holds testament to a person who even though way out of my professional league was able to look me in the eyes and take me seriously and for that, I thank you Damiane- Thank you for inspiring me Damiane.
