I’ll forever be fascinated with the sophisticated system of how New York City operates, among the busiest and craziest environments in the world people get things done and life moves on. In my short visit to New York I witnessed everything from subway street performers to orthodox Jews smoking weed. But what most fascinated me was the signs of over industrialization of the city- these big orange exhausts in the city are posted on all streets when cold rain water seeps into the hot pipes under the streets that provide the heating and cooling for houses. It's a battle between nature trying to return and veins of the city fighting back. Rather than facing the issue- it's cheaper to put up a big exhaust and move around the issue. Maybe we can all learn from this, sometimes it’s more healthy to let the problems around us burn up on their own while we just move around them- certainly not an entirely smart decision but we have bigger fish to fry. While we might be surrounded by life threatening chaos
